Service agreement and privacy

PICK S.A.S., domiciled in Colombia (Bogotá D.C.), is the data controller.

The service is for adults 18+. It covers the web app, APIs, the introductions you open in WhatsApp, and email and Instagram communications.

Required data: email, password (managed by Cognito), display name, and confirmation that you are of legal age.

Profile data used for matches: cities, interests, bio, WhatsApp, age, gender, and, for new profiles, a profile photo (S3). Age and gender are required and do not rank suggestions; we use them in aggregate statistics about the community and so each user can filter their new suggestions by age and gender. LinkedIn/Instagram links are optional; if you add your Instagram, we also use it to message you from @pick.global.

Match data: city/interest combinations, match codes, the introduction generated with artificial intelligence, and sponsor presence.

Suggestion decisions: when you choose 'Not interested,' we privately store the hidden profile and the reason you enter. The other person does not receive that reason.

Usage and safety metrics: IP, device/user-agent, product usage events (sign-up with the source campaign, sign-ins, profile, suggestions viewed, introductions generated, WhatsApp opens, hidden suggestions, and reports), logs, and abuse reports.

If you delete your account, we keep, without identifying you, the reason you choose and general account data (account age, whether you completed your profile, and the campaign that brought you).

Comments you send to support or to @pick.global. We do not request sensitive data; do not include it in free-form text.

Provide the service: create your account, suggest matches, generate and display the WhatsApp introduction message, and manage relevant sponsors.

Security and fraud/abuse prevention: a bot check at sign-up, usage limits, report review, and suspension of accounts that breach the rules.

Product and quality analytics to improve the experience, using first-party usage events that are not shared with third parties; campaign measurement with Meta only runs if you authorize it.

Operational account emails, such as the code to reset your password; marketing is optional and revocable.

Legal bases: prior, express, and informed authorization from the data subject; performance of the agreement; and compliance with legal obligations.

Access, update, correct, and delete data; request proof of authorization; be informed about use; file complaints; and revoke consent when applicable.

You may escalate to the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (www.sic.gov.co) if you disagree with our response.

AWS (Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, S3/CloudFront) for authentication, execution, and media; MongoDB Atlas for operational data.

The artificial intelligence provider (AWS Bedrock) only receives names, interests, city, and match code; we do not send phone numbers.

Cloudflare (Turnstile) to check that sign-ups are not made by bots; it receives your IP address and technical browser data.

Meta (Meta Pixel and Conversions API), only if you authorize optional measurement: it receives sign-up, completed-profile, and WhatsApp-open events, with your hashed email and phone number, IP address, and browser, to measure campaigns.

Instagram and Facebook (Meta Platforms) for the direct messages we send you from @pick.global and the messages or comments you send us.

Sponsors only receive aggregate metrics; we do not share your contact details without explicit authorization.

WhatsApp receives the message text and metadata when you open the deep link to start the conversation.

Data may be stored or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions using contractual and technical safeguards (encryption, access controls).

By accepting, you authorize these transfers under Law 1581 of 2012 and applicable rules.

We keep account and profile data while you use the service.

Usage events and operational and security logs are retained for up to 12 months; backups for up to 90 days.

After a deletion request, we remove data except what is required for legal obligations or dispute resolution.

Database duration: during the relationship with the user and for the time needed to comply with legal or contractual obligations.

We encrypt data in transit and restrict internal access to the people who operate the service. We will notify incidents as required by applicable law.

User duty: keep credentials secure and report suspicious access or content.

By creating an account, you authorize operational account emails, such as the code to reset your password. Pick does not message you on WhatsApp on its own: WhatsApp only opens when you decide to write to someone or to our support.

If you add your Instagram username, you authorize Pick to message you directly from @pick.global to thank you, ask about your experience, invite you to community plans, or share news. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to the message or writing to pickglobalcontact@gmail.com.

On other channels, marketing and updates are only sent with prior, separate authorization; you can revoke it at any time.

Do not use Pick to harass, discriminate, spam, conduct illegal activity, or impersonate others. We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.

Pick does not verify users' identity, age, or email: each profile's data is declared by its owner. Pick also does not pre-screen profiles or photos; it acts on the reports it receives.

You are responsible for your safety in meetings. Pick does not control off-platform interactions or guarantee compatibility for every match.

Safety recommendations: talk with the person first and confirm who they are; meet for the first time in a busy public place; tell someone you trust where you are going; do not share financial details or send money; if something feels off, leave and report it in Pick.

If a message is sponsored, we will say so; do not accept third-party benefits that conflict with your local law or our rules.

Pick is provided "as is"; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every match will produce a specific outcome.

We are not liable for damages arising from user interactions or the use of information generated by artificial intelligence, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence under Colombian law.

The service is not intended for people under 18; we will delete minors' data if we become aware of it.

We may suspend or close accounts for breaches of this agreement or security risks.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Colombia. Any dispute will be resolved before the courts of Bogotá D.C., unless we agree on an alternative dispute-resolution mechanism.

We will publish material changes and request renewed acceptance when required.
